First Yamato Figure – Macross Vf-1j Stealth Type Die-cast Figure Scale 1/48

This figure was my first Yamato 1/48 scale valkyrie. It’s a largely great figure, very detailed and the transformation is fun and not to difficult. One thing I really like is the size. It’s pretty big in all modes and looks mean with this particular coloring. Small nitpicks with the item are a loose air brake and loose wrists. I believe these problems are regular with this series and are pretty small nitpicks. This is obviously a piece for older collectors and not a kids toy. If you want something for them, the Bandai 1/55 figures are very durable figures.

Awesome Fantasy Toy!!! – GE-49 Macross Frontier VF-27 Gamma Lucifer Valkyrie Brera Sterne Custom

THis is one of the rare transformable toy from Japan….so you die hard Macross fans, pick one up now while Amazon has it in stock. The ingenuity behind this collectors toy surpass anything the USA can touch. Also goes for the rest of the Macross transfromables. This fighter has one small little issue. While rolling with the gear down it would sometimes collaspe. Other than that the toy is great. Just a little tip, when shopping for these transformables, pay attendition to the scale (and the price should give it away too). The 1/72 scale is the snap-together model. The 1/60 scale is the actual toy, yeah pull it straight from the box and play with it. Well, you Macross fans, happy hunting for your fighters!!!!! ;-)

Excellent Model – Macross Plus YF-19 Valkyrie Figure 1/60

Having said that, you have to be very careful with this. I’d recommend keeping it on display, probably not recommended for children or people that would get frustrated while trying to transform it into 1 of the 3 modes (Battleroid, Flying, and Gunwalk (inbetween mode, still has wings out, but with legs)). But it is fully transformable, all the modes in the movie are accomplished. Most of the materials used are pretty heavy as the model itself does have some weight (metallic parts), but there are some delicate plastics/joints used as well that you have to be careful of.

I Recommend This For Any Serious Macross Fan Out There – Macross 1/48 VF-1S Roy Focker Valkyrie

The details and finish on it are amazing. The plastic parts are durable and stay in place. So far, my figure has no loose joints or parts that flap around. Transformation is not a quick one-two-you’re done thing. It takes a bit of finageling around to get it transformed and there will be some heartstopping moments but nothing too serious if you dont use too much force and break your figure.

High Quality Collection Piece – Macross Vf-1a Hikaru Ichijo 1/48

This is a really high quality detailed collective robotech toy. The pictures posted dont make it justice. It looks awsome in my desk

I Wouldn’t Recommend This For A Kid – 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru Ichijo Valkyrie

Its not nearly sturdy enough for any kind of rigorous play, and the price tag should steer away all but the richest or most insane of parents. The colors are bright and construction sturdy enough to hold almost any pose. This figure is rare enough that any looking for it would most likely save themselves money and trouble by buying the Roy Focker version and painting the stripes red.

Good Buy Under $100 – Macross VE-1 Elintseeker Scale 1/60

Finally an affordable Elintseeker for those of us who can’t swing an origonal. I, like many, love and prefer the 1/55 Bandai Valks; but this is the next best thing and doesn’t look “too” out of scale when being escorted by the Bandai reissues.

This Is A Cool Toy – Macross Robotech 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru Valkyrie

You know i wouldn’t realy call it a toy you wouldn’t give it to your kids and let them play with it but its a model that built to toy standards its very detailed looks just like the line art of the vf-1a the small touches like the cockpit opening and the heat sheild hidding awa in the chest plate when in jet form is a great thing . I would say this is a must for everyone that like anine robots .. 5/5 good toy

I Got To Say Im Very Happy With This Model – Macross Akira Itizyou VF-1A Transformer 1/60

i got on of thse after watching so reviews on yahoo by mistake looking up macross. i got to say im very happy with this model its called a toy but this is’nt something that you would let you 12 yr old son play with its more model that is bult tough thaen toy. the only bad thing about this is that there is a older release in this line of toys that isn’t as good and detailed,a nd mant sellers don’t tell you this so you can run the rick of gettin that one if your not carefull.

Perfect toy aside from one small hiccup – Macross VF-1S Ichijyou Hikaru 1/60

What can I say about this toy? IT IS AMAZING! Easily one of the best Macross toys ever released it feels great, it plays great, it’s extremely solid and durable and well built, and fun to transform. The one issue though is that when trying to transform it from Batteroid back to fighter the hip joint can be an incredible pain to get out of the little slot it locks into if you dont know how to do it right. It’s apparently a molding issue that all the earlier VF-1S types suffered from, but they fixed it on the later released VF-1A 1/60 series and the Max VF-1S doesn’t suffer from the tight joint either. But that is only a minor complaint of an otherwise perfect toy and it is doable just look up the transformation guides online and they’ll show you the ideal way to do it. Every Macross fan should own one of these toys period! So pick a color variant you like and get it I promise you will not be disappointed.
