Our refund policy is 14 days in the case of products in perfect condition. It is the customer's obligation to notify us within 72 hours of receipt of the goods if something arrives in poor condition. If after 72 hours from your purchase, you have not complained about a breakage or defect of the product unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.
In the case of invertebrates, for their welfare, it is not possible to make returns, these are guaranteed to arrive in perfect health, otherwise, make a video in the first 48 hours after receiving the package and send it to info@scalearea.com or our WhatsApp 622739200 where we will check what happened and proceed to a reshipment.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition in which you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Once we have received and inspected your return, we will contact you to notify you that we have received the item you returned. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original payment method within a certain number of days.
Late or missing refunds. If you have not yet received a refund, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially reflected. Then contact your bank. It often takes some processing time before you can see a refund reflected. Exchanges. We only replace items if they are faulty or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please email us at info@scalearea.com.
Shipping costs to return your item are at your expense. If you receive a refund, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. In the event that the return is not due to our error or breakage the cost will be 8€ for the Iberian Peninsula and provided they are not bulky products, ie that the measures are less than 151cm (sum of height x width x length), and less than 10kg, in the case of exceeding these measures or weight consult the cost of the return. For returns from outside the Iberian Peninsula, please consult the shipping cost, it is usually around 25€ throughout Europe for non bulky orders under 2kg.
Depending on where you live, the time it takes to receive the exchange of your product may vary.
If you are sending an item over €50, it is recommended that you use a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your item back.
